9
Q

Describe precipitation method

A
  1. Mix two solutions containing the ions that you need
  2. Salt is obtained by filtering the mixture
  3. Wash salt and leave to dry

Q

Describe excess base/ metal method

A
  1. Pick an avid and an I soluble base
  2. Add base to acid. You will know if it has neutralised as the excess base will not dissolve
  3. Filter out the excess and evaporate the water to get crystals
