feb 1946- ML won muslim seats in punjab, bengal, sindh and NWFP.
formed ministeries in sindh, NWFP, coalition government in bengal and punjab
direct action day
aug 16 1946- ML coercive strategy led to the formation of the inerim government.
congress initially refused to join, later joined on oct 25, 1946
constituent assembly
july 1946- ML won muslim seats
ML boycotted the first session on dec-9-1946, demanding two constituent assemblies.
simla conference
june-july 1945- british sought indian military cooperation during WW2. conference held to discuss political changes post-war. representative from all political parties.
