- Speak slowly (so the client can process the information)
- Use short, simple sentences and words

Keep clocks, calendars and personal items within reach and vision

Be sure that glasses and hearing aids are accessible to assist with orientation

Identify all doors with pictures or easily identifiable labels
Doors to rooms, closets, and bathrooms all need to be identified

Monitor food and fluid intake, because the client can become easily dehydrated because they forget to eat or drink

Group activities of enjoyable things like dancing, singing, simple games, exercising, and painting
