This is high voltage electricity that flows from power stations into our homes.
Where is it made & how does it get to our houses?
It is made in power stations and is transferred through wires in circuits from the power stations to our homes.

What are the cables called that carry electricity across the country?
Pylons
When electricity enters our homes from the pylon power lines, what is the box called that it reaches first?
An electricity distribution box.
How do plugs in our homes work?
Electricity flows from distribution box into wall sockets, put the plug in & it carries electricity from the socket through wires to the appliance.
