being religious, loyalty to the monarchy, soldiers, decision makers, ruling the family, house and domestic life, responsible for family and wife, lack of emotion.

the idea that men were responsible for their families and their wellbeing was also prelevant they don’t just rule over them but were meant to act to secure the safety and prosperity of the family.

men shouldn’t be ruled by their emotions and also shouldn’t demonstrate weakness such as doubt or cowardice.

women were expected to be devoted followers of the Christian religion and to obey all its teachings.
