Encoding?
Input of info to memory
Storage?
Retaining info in memory

What is sensory memory also known as?
Ultra short term memory
Sensory memory?
Consist of brief sensory events (sights, sounds and tastes)
Very brief storage up to a couple of secs
Short term memory?
Takes info from sensory memory and connects it to long term memory
Stores small amount of info at a time
(5-9 items for 10-20 secs)
Improved by splitting info into chunks
Long term memory
Continuous storage of info with no limits (unlimited)
2 types of memory in long term memory

Retrieval?

Disition making based of retrieval
Situation awareness?
Process of perception and judgment
