Q

where does lymphatic system drain to?

A

right lymphatic duct - drains the upper right portion of the body, via the right subclavian vein
thoracic duct- rest of the body, left subclavian vein

17
Q

lymphedema stages

A

“SPIT”
S=starting to feel heaviness, etc (that beginning stage). P=stage 1, Pitting edema in early stages and is reversible.
I= stage 2 Irreversible, NO pitting, +stemmers sign. T=stage 3, Trunk (like elephant trunk) due to elephantiasis and the elephant looking skin.
