They screen interstitial fluid that is being returned to the general circulation for potentially harmful agents.

Clustered around large veins

Connect nodes with each other as well as with nodes of surrounding areas

Where does the breast lymph drain into?
A
Most of the breast (75%) drains first into the anterior group of axillary muscles (the sentinel nodes) .
