Lungs: Blood/Nerve/Lymphatic supply Flashcards
What is the general location of the anterior an posterior pulmonary plexuses?
In front of and behind of th root of the lung respectivlly.
Which nerves will form the anterior an posterior pulmonary plexuses?
1) Vagus (CN X)
2) Sympathetic Trunk
Which nerve will give the lungs parasympathtic as well as sensory innervation?
Vagus (CN X)
Which nerve will give sympathetic as well as sensory innervation to the lungs?
Sympathetic Trunk (T2-T5 mostly)
The sympathetic innervation will cause what to happen to the lungs?
Bronchial Dilation and Vasocontriction. Also decreases glandular secretion
Parasympatheitc innervation to the lungs will cause what to happen within the lungs?
Bronchial constriction and Vasodialiation. Also increases glandular secreation
