What are the 5 red flags of lung cancer?
Haemoptysis, Finger clubbing, recurrent pneumonia, weight loss, lymphadenopathy
When should you refer people for suspected lung cancer (2-week appointment)
CXR with suspected lung cancer, or aged over 40 years and over with unexplained haemoptysis
If a person has 2 unexplained symptoms of lung cancer and is over 40 what should they do?
Offer an urgent chest x-ray (2 weeks)
What is supraclavicular lymphadenopathy?
Swelling of the lymph nodes
What is medothelimas
Type of cancer that develops in the lining that covers the outer surface of some of the bodys organs.
What is mesothelioma linked to?
Asbestos
Mesotheliomas mainly affect the lining of the lungs, but what other lining can they affect?
tummy, heart or testicals
