Provide a clear focus of the study and involve key variables that are being investigated. e.g. An investigation to study the relationship between health and stress levels.
Introduction Leading To Aims/Hypothesis
Relate to previous research and say why you want to study the topic. Discuss the research topic after this state the aim of the hypothesis, the null hypothesis and your alternate hypothesis whether one tailed or two tailed.
Method Section
Design - Experimental design, research method, IV, DV, Ethical Issues
Sample - Details of the sample, Who, Where, How?? - participants must remain anonymous.
Apparatus - Make a concise list of materials required
Procedure - Bullet pointed steps in order that must be sufficient for replication
Results Section
Descripitive statistics - Central tendency, raw data, tables.
Inferential Statistics - What statistical test and why
Qualitative data needs themes and categories with examples
State whether alternate/null hypothesis was rejected.
Discussion Section
Brief summary of the results
Link it to background research
Limitations of methodology
Implications and suggestions
