What are rights?
Something that the law allows people to do.
What is nutrition?

What is maltreatment?
mistreatment, cruelty or harm
What is nationality?
the country you were born in
What is a responsibility?
something that you have a duty to do
What are the 6 rights you have as a child in South Africa?
- Family care
- Food, shelter and healthcare
- You may not be hurt or sexually abused
- An education
- A name and nationality from birth
- To be protected from exploitative labour practices
What does the right to family care mean?
Children need love and security from their family. A child has the right to other care if they are removed from his or her family.
What does the right to an education mean?
You have the right to go to school
What does the right to be protected from exploitative labour practices mean?
Children should not be forced to do an adult’s work

What responsibilities come with the right to go to school?
- Doing your homework
- Being on time for school
- Looking after your books and pens
- listening class
- having respect for your teacher
- help other around you
You have the right to love and security (family care), then what you are responsible for?
- keeping your room neat and tidy
- saying please and thank you (showing manners)
- looking after your belongings
- respect your caretakers (parents!)
- always tell your caretakers where you are going
- help with the household duties

to make sure you learn from those mistake
