- *
What is the pressure, flowrate, and flowpath of the #2 Seal?
A
- Pressure:*
- *30 psig → 10 psig**
- Flowrate:*
- *3 gpm → 3 gph**
- Suction:*
- *Seal #1**

What is the pressure, flowrate, and flowpath of the #1 Seal?
A
- Pressure:*
- *2250 psig → 30 psig**
- Min D/P: 220 psid*
- Flowrate:*
- *8 gpm → 3 gpm**
- Suction:*
- *CVCS**
- Discharge:*
- *VCT ****
- CCP Suction*
- *Seal #2**
Inlet temperature ≈ 110 ˚F (Do not exceed 230 ˚F)
≈ 5 gpm goes to pump radial bearing and thermal barrier HX
Note:
On ΦA CI, Seal return to VCT isolates and relief will lift (150 psig) to send water to PRT.

What provides cooling the RCP thermal barrier?
A
Seal water
CCW
CCW will isolate on a ΦB CI signal.
Thermal barrier consists of 21 concentric cans

What must pressure in the bearing oil lift system be in order to start a RCP?
A
600 psig
- Blue permissive light on CP005
- Bearing Oil pump must be running to start pump. (Not required for light however)
- Must be operated for ≥ 2 mins by procedure prior to starting RCP.
