1) The deceased’ eyes are closed and the body is covered with a clean sheet. Mourners visit the body but cannot wail, scream or thrash.
2) The body is washed in scented water by the family and community. It is then dressed in burial robes.

4) The body is laid in the grave facing Mecca.
