Logistics Tasks

A
  1. Designing Logistics Systems :
  • Systems of transportation (Loading aids, Means of transport);
  • Systems of storage (Warehouse location, Means of storage);
  • Logistics control (Collect-system, Bring - system)
  1. Applying Logistics Functions:
    - Basic functions (Transport; Storage)
    - Complimentary functions (Turnover/ handling, Commissioning, Packing, Compilation of loading units)

Systems of Transport

A
Intra company transport:
Loading aids (movement within the facilities of production

Q

System of storage

A
  • Central warehousing:
    + Capacities are well used, easy to keep control, usage of space
  • Production facility, where not everything is on one plant side, ways of transportation between warehouse and production facilities are high.

De-central warehousing:

+individual entry for different locations,

Storage forms:

-Ground storage, shelf storage, Storage on/in transport devices
