what’s the difference between a role & a responsibility?
a role is the function of a person but a responsibilities is the specific tasks or duties that s person is expected to complete according to their role.
are are the different groups that will have roles & responsibilities?
what must they do?
employers, employees, clients.
they must follow the key pieces of health, safety and security legislations that have been set out by legalisation.
what must employers do?
- promote health, safety and security
- maintaining health and social policy
- enforcing policies.
employers: give some examples of promoting health, safety and security.
- making sure that these polices are in place.
- ensuring staff are DBS checked
- ensuring staff know their policy’s
what must an employee do? - give examples
workers must work together wit their employers to maintain health, safety and security in health, social care and child care environments, BY:
1. Maintaining their own and others health, safety and security
2. risk assessments.
3. reporting hazards.
4. attending health & safety training
5. being aware of their obligations with legalisation.
what must services users do?
- health and safety is everyone’s job
- comply with safety and health procedures
- attending any client health and safety briefing
- being mindful to others.
services users: examples of safeguarding is everyone’s job.
- they need to follow guidance and instructions.
- read polices if requested to do
- stay in designated area if requested to do so.
