(e) - discrimination towards ppls gender, race, sexuality and disabilities are all factors of inequality in employment in Britain.
- for example; men over 40 earn 27% more then women

(L)- ppl in ethnic minorities are more likely to be homocide victims
- men and LGBT are more likely to self-harm or commit suicide

A

(s)- many ppl have physical security inequalities. ppl from ethnic minority backgrounds down fell secure at receiving adequate help when racially abusive behave. is being shown

(H)- ethnic minorities are more likely too afce more health inequalities then white British as they are more likely to be living in poverty
- LGBT are more likely to experience poor mental health perhaps due to hostility and misunderstanding.

- due to sexuality, income or having a disability they’re at a disadvantage of achieving

A

(C+S)- there are a few surveys and services that help care for ethnic minority groups.

  • fewer services care of LGBT members, leaving them neglected
  • for e.g. muslim women face difficulties accessing childcare

(P+V)- female representation in politics remains below 25%. there are only 6 muslim MP’s.
- ppl with disabilities and lower socio-economical backgrounds feel less likely to influence local authorities.

2- protection from harm and abuse = safeguarding should be followed at all times to protect those in care environments

3- equal and fair treatment = individuals should be treated in accordance with the law and their needs

4- confidentiality= info should only be shared on a need- to - know basis, there only expecting is if they are a threat to themselves others or a target of abuse.

5- rights to life= a persons life is protected by the law meaning no one can harm them

6- consultation= individuals in health, social or child care settings should be asked their opinion on the type of care or activities they would like

1- disabiltiy= consult individual of their preferred choice of care, adjust H&SC settings so they’re accessible for all

2- religion- schools could have various places where people of different religions can pray, if patients in a GP practise have a preference. of who treats them they are entitled to this.

3- food= many people only eat certain foods down to chic or health reasons, schools could make a variety of food that caters for all preferences. (halal, vegetarian)

4- language = language barriers often occur, in health care settings signs can be put up to help with these barriers, translators can as be present if necessary

5- gender + gender reassignment= in schools they should have separate toilets and changing areas for students who have transitioned from one gender to another.

6- education = schools can educate children on how to be inclusive of all ethnicities, sexualities and genders.
schools should have support groups for the young children struggling in school as they are being discriminated against.

  • informal = friends and family, done through love and compassion

advocate= someone speaking on your behalf
