comparatives

A

The comparative is formed by adding -er to the positive adjective or adverb.
Most, especially those of one syllable, modify in comparison:
wenig - weniger, warm - wärmer, lang - länger

Der Sonner ist wärmer als der Winter
Der Tag ist länger als die Nacht

Wenn and Weil

A

After wenn (when, if) and weil (because), the verb comes at the end of the clause

Wenn sie keine Schule haben - when they have no school
Weil die Sonne nicht viel scheint - because the sun doesn’t shine much
