Luke 22:19 – “Do this in remembrance of me.”
Jesus instructs his disciples to continue celebrating the Eucharist. Catholics believe this supports the practice of the Mass as a key part of liturgical worship.
why might some not feel it is as important
Lack of Personal Connection – Some feel it is repetitive and not as personal or emotional as spontaneous worship.True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth” (John 4:23).
Rigidity – The structured nature may seem restrictive to those who prefer a more flexible or modern style of worship.
concerns Over Ritual Becoming Empty or Superficial – Some may argue that rituals can become meaningless if not deeply understood or genuinely practiced. Jesus criticized empty rituals in Matthew 15:8: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”
Understanding Challenges – Traditional rituals and prayers (sometimes in Latin) might be difficult for some to understand or relate to.

Matthew 6:7 – “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.”
This suggests that prayer should be sincere and from the heart, rather than just following set rituals. Some might argue that liturgical worship can become repetitive and lose personal meaning.
