repetition at the end
EX: If God is for US, who can be against US
Epizeuxis
repetition of words or phrases next to each other
Euphemism
substitution of a more mild phrase for a frank expression
EX: The (adult entertainment) store sells videos.
Motif
reoccurring theme or presence of an idea within a work of literature
EX: Lord of the flies: Jack vs. Ralph, Good vs. Evil
Pun
play on words exploiting possible differences in meaning
EX: That is so punny
Andiplosis
repeats the last word of one phrase at the beginning of the next- used to show beauty or logical expression
EX: FEAR is the path to the dark side. FEAR leads to ANGER. ANGER leads to HATE. HATE leads to suffering. I see much FEAR in you.
