Oxymoron

EX: act naturally
Parable
a brief story that is meant to teach or illustrate a moral truth.
EX: Good Samaritan from the Bible- when travelers see a beaten person and the Samaritan helped that person-meaning to help everybody in need.
Paradox
a statement that appears to be self-contradictory or opposed to common sense but contains some degree of truth.
EX: This statement is a lie.
the statement is technically true that it is a lie but its contradicting by saying that the statement is a lie which is true.
Parallelism
refers to the grammatical or rhetorical structure of words, phrases, sentence, or paragraph to give structural similarity.
EX: That’s one (noun) step (action) for man (prep phrase using man), one (noun) giant leap (action) for mankind (prep phrase using man).
Parody
a word that closely imitates the style of the content of another with the specific aim of comic effect and/or ridicule.
EX: The Comedy Movie Series Scary Movie is a parody of modern scary movies such as Paranormal Activity.
