Can tell you the difference between excess absorption of LDL (consumption via food) vs excess internal production of LDL. Important because impacts therapy choice as Zetia cannot affect internal production of LDL

It stops the absorption of LDL. (Aka not helpful if person has excess internal production of LDL0
why is high levels of immature HDL bad/what can’t the immature HDL do?
immature HDL is insufficient at pulling cholesterol off the wall to prevent cholesterol plaque
