-links to genetic theory because it is about eliminated genetics from the population, Also links to physiological because if we eliminate certain characteristics those characteristics will not be passed on
+ if there are known genetic abnormalities that can cause a child pain, these can be sterilised
- very unethical

-LINKED TO BIOLOGICAL THEORIES, if we can control the chemicals produced in our brain, we can stop crime from happening
+ it was welcomed by volunteers and a researcher found that a low sugar diet was effective in reducing anti-social behaviour
- chemical castration can not be applied everywhere
- offenders are unlikely to keep up the diet outside of prison
- prisons are unable to offer this diet due to funding
