What is clindamycin used for?
A
gram-positive cocci, staphylococci infections, cellulitis, joint and bone infections

Why is clindamycin good for bone infections ex. osteomyelitis?
A
It concentrates into the bones

When should clindamycin not be used? When should a pt stop taking clindamycin?
A
in patients who have a history with diarrhoea.
If pt develops diarrhoea, they should stop taking clindamycin. This could indicate that the patient has experienced antibiotic associated colitis.

A
renal and hepatic function
