LIMITATIONS Flashcards
Define icing conditions?
GROUND = OAT < 1 mile on the GND FLIGHT = TAT <= 7 deg or visible moisture present in AIR)
What are the limit G load factors?
Flaps retracted = +2.5 to -1G
Flaps extended = +2 to 0G
Gear down = +2 to 0G
What is the max wind for the cargo door?
Cargo door operation X Wind component of 45 KTS
What are the dispatch limitations?
Dispatch with U/S in accordance with the MEL/CDL
What are the weight limitations ?
TAXI 23180
TAKE OFF 23000
LANDING 22350
ZERO FUEL 21000
What are the preflight checks with the tail skid?
Tail skid, if shoe is stripped then check the red indicator. If wear is evident the AC requires maintenance.
What is the limitation with holding in icing conditions?
Holding in icing conditions with flaps extended is no allowed, unless single engine.
What are the values Vra, Va, Vlwo, Vret?
180, 175, 160, and 160.
What is Vmcl?

What is the max crosswind?
Max cross wind is 35 KTS (takeoff and landing flaps 30)
Good 35 KTS
Good/Medium 28 KTS
Medium/Poor 4 5 16 KTS
Poor 7 7 10 KTS
What is the max mean RWY slope?
Max mean R/W slope is + or - 2%
What is the lowest Np in icing conditions?
Less than 82% NP in icing conditions prohibited.
What are the limitations on the starter?
3 starts of 30 seconds each with a maximum 1 min 30 sec combined starting time then a 4 minutes off.
How long should it take for the ITT to rise during engine start?
During start the ITT should rise within ten seconds.
What is the duration and limitation on engine start?

What is the max ITT in H mode?
715
What are the pressurisation limitations?
MAX DIFF 6.35 PSI MAX NEG DIFF -0.5 PSI MAX DIFF LND 0.35 PSI MAX DIFF OVBD 1 PSI MAX ALT BLEED 20000 ft
What is the limitation on the GEN when operating on one only?
Single GEN ops if ISA + 25 degC then max flight level must be reduced to 200. This is due to the cooling characteristics of the GEN at high altitudes.
What are the autopilot limitations?
Engage >160ft
Engage or FD, except after TOFF or during an approach >1000ft
Vs or IAS mode during an approach, or CAT 1 ILS >160ft
What are the limitations for NAV mode?
NAV mode for a VOR approach may be selected providing that a co located DME is available and the DME is not in HLD.
