Start to cross only when the lights have stopped flashing and the gate/boom is fully open
Check for trains even when lights have stopped

There is a stop sign

How can a driver minimise distractions to reduce crash risk?
Fitting your car with a hands-free mobile phone car kit
Don’t use a mobile phone (Learner/Provisional drivers are banned from using phones in any way whilst driving)
Only enter text into a device when you have stopped
Tell passengers to avoid distracting you
What are the passenger restrictions for P1 drivers?
P1 drivers under the age of 25 must not drive between the hours of 11pm and 5am with more than one passenger under the age of 21
What are the licence restrictions for towing?
Learner drivers are not allowed to tow any vehicle or trailer.
If you have a P1 car licence, you can tow small trailers up to 250kg unloaded weight.
What are some important towing rules?
You must not tow more than one trailer or one other vehicle
No one is allowed to ride in a trailer or caravan while it is being towed
