-Self test during full alignment
-one or more IR are on BAT
“ADIRS” IR Align Light Steady (white)
Normal during alignment (approx 10 minutes)
“ADIRS” IR Align Light Flashing (white)
- No position entered within 10 minutes
- Bad position (1º or 60 miles difference between shutdown and entered)
-Fault

R- Roll (normal, direct law)
A- Abnormal attitudes

- High pitch tone in the cockpit ( silence by “horn shut off” pb )
“EMER ELEC PWR” Gen 1 Line SMOKE
Smoke detected in Avionics Compartment
(Blower and Extracts would show FAULT)
“EMER ELEC PWR” GEN 1 Line pb OFF
-Gen 1 is disconnected from AC Bus 1 (Gen 2 then powers AC Bus 1)
-Gen 1 is now dedicated to Power one fuel pump in each wing tank
“GPWS” G/S MODE pb / FLAP MODE pb
In Abnormal conditions you would turn those modes OFF
“GPWS” LDG FLAP 3
- Used when Landing Flaps 3
- Need to change performance in MCDU
“RCDR”
Voice and Data recorders operate:
-5 minutes after initial power up
-On the ground from 1st engine start to 5 minutes after 2 engine shutdown
-In Flight
“OXYGEN” SYS ON
Means that signal has been send to the back to drop the masks
“OXYGEN” SYS ON auto drop
-Mask Doors open when Cabin Altitude > 14,000‟
-Prerecorded instructions broadcast
“OXYGEN” crew supply
O2 bottle connects to manifold for Cockpit Oxygen
“CALLS” EMER
-3 High/Low Chimes sound

“CABIN PRESS” DITCHING pb ON Closes:
-Avionics Ventilation inlet/ extract valves
-Both Pack flow control valves
-Ram Air Inlet valve
-Outflow valve (if under Auto control)

“AIR COND” RAM AIR
-RAM AIR Inlet opens
-Outflow Valve Opens 50% if:
-Differential psi < 1, and
-not being controlled manually
“AIR COND” PACK FLOW Selector
LO - passengers < 141 (<168 A/C 600s)
NORM - Normal ops
HI - abnormally hot and/or humid
“ELEC” BAT 1 2 pb AUTO
Battery will connect for:
1) They are the sole source of Electrics
2) They need to charge
3) APU start
“ELEC” Power priority
1) Onside Gen
2) EXT PWR
3) APU GEN
4) Opposite Side Gen
“ELEC” you will get Galley shed
On singe Gen ops
“FUEL” MODE SEL Auto (dark)
Center Tank Pumps operate:
-For 2 minutes after first engine start, shut off for Take Off until Slats are retracted, they operate again until 5 minutes after CTK TK low level is reached (550 lbs)
“HYD” PTU
Automatically runs when Green and Yellow differential psi >500
-self test during second engine start
NOTE: PTU is inhibited:
-for 40 seconds after cargo door is opened or closed
-ONLY one ENG master switch on AND Tow Pin in and/or Parking Brake Set
PTU - Power transfer unit

“FIRE” ENG 1 2 FIRE pb
2- Silences CRC, Arms SQUIBS
1- Closes HYD shut-off valve
3- Closes LP fuel valve, De-Energizes FADEC, Closes IDG return line
1- Deactivates IDG
2- Closes bleed valve, Closes Pack flow control valve
CRC- continuous repetitive chime
“FIRE” APU FIRE pb
2- Silences CRC, Arms SQUIBS
0- nothing on HYD
2- Closes LP fuel valve, Turns off APU fuel pump
1- Deactivates APU GEN
2- Closes APU bleed valve, Closes X-Bleed valve
CRC- continuous repetitive chime
“VENTILATION” BLOWER pb OVRD (white)
-Goes to Closed Configuration (inlet / extract valves close)
-Air Conditioning air added
-Blower Fan stops
“VENTILATION” EXTRACT pb OVRD (white)
-Goes to Closed Configuration (inlet / extract valves close)
-Air Conditioning air added
“VENTILATION” EXTRACT/ BLOWER pb OVRD (white) together
-Goes to Smoke Configuration (inlet valve close, small outflow valve open)
-Air Conditioning air added
-Blower Fan stops
