What are objects that give off their own light called?
Luminous
What do all other objects do?
They reflect light. They are called non-luminous.
How does light travel?
In straight lines.
When using a pinhole camera, what observation of the image is noted?
It is inverted.
What happens to the size of shadow as its moved closer or further away from the light source?
As the object is moved closer to the light source, the size of the shadow increases.
What type off shadow does a point source produce?
A shadow that is called the umbra. The type of shadow has a sharp edge and is uniformly dark.
What types of shadows does an extended light source produce?
The umbra in the centre and the penumbra around the edge. The second type of shadow has a blurry edge and is not uniformly dark since some light reaches it.
