What is light?
It is a form of energy
Transparent :
Objects that allow light to pass through.
Translucent :
Objects that allow light pass through but its not clear.
Opaque :
Objects that don’t allow light to pass through.
What is luminous?
Objects that give out light.
What is non luminous?
Objects that don’t give out light.
How do you know whether a object is transparent?
The light will transmit if the object is transparent.
How are shadows formed?
Shadows form when light is blocked by an object.
How is reflection formed?
Reflection is the throw back by a surface of light without absorbing it.
Law of reflection :
angle of incidence = angle of reflection
How does light bend?
When light enters a more dense medium its speed dicreases causing it to refract.
What is dispersion?
When a prism splits a ray of white light into the colours of the rainbow.
What is the spectrum?
Colours that make up a white light.
Primary colours :
red, green and blue
Secondary colours :
magenta, yellow and cyan
