Body shape, foetus looks like a human
What happens in the 3rd trimester
Rapid growth, major organ system function
How does a baby get oxygen in the womb
Placenta, oxygenated blood carried through umbilical vein to baby
How does oxygen enter the left side of the baby
Through the liver and a short cut called the ductus venosus
What does the blood from the umbilical vein meet up with
Inferior vena cava
Where is the blood that’s met with the IVC go to
Right atrium and blood from superior vena cava drains to the right atrium
