- All experimneters received a detailed instructions sheets and on site field training for acting tehir roles

The experimenter would walk in the opposite direction to the chosen participant.
The experimenter reached to their pocket when they were 10 to 15 feet away and dropped a pen in front of the p’s.
The p’s was thought to have helped if they called back to the experimenter or gave the pen back to the experimenter.
Hurt leg
The experimenter walked with a heavy limp and wearing a leg brace.
The experimenter would drop a magazine and try to reach it to pick it up but failing- was done 20 feet away from the p’s.
253 men and 240 women were approached
Helping was defined if tehy offered to help or was beginning to help without offering
Blind person
The experimenter wore dark glasses and carried a white cane, pretending to be blind.
Help was needed to cross the road.
The experimenter stepped into the road just before the light turned green and held out the cane until they received help, 60 seconds after the light turned green or the lights changed.
281 trials for this conditions.
Results
Simpatia countries were more helpful (82.87%)
Non-simpatia countries were less helpful (65.87%)
