What is interval data?

A

A score on a scale, but the scale doesn’t have an “absolute zero” which means you can go into negative figures. (It doesn’t have a fixed starting point). E.G Temperature.

What is ordinal data?

A

A number score, but the number represents rank position. E.G The positions of football teams in a league.

What is nominal data?

A

Doesn’t give scores to participants; it puts them in categories. E.G using tally’s. (It produces frequencies which can be turned into percentages).

A

A score on a scale with an “absolute zero” meaning there is “no data”. E.G Test scores.
