What is nominal data?

A

Data that can be classified into categories. If something is in one category in cannot be in another one. You cannot have monkey that is also a hippo they exist in their own categories

What is ordinal data?

A

Data that is in order. Horses finish first,second, third and so on. The order they finish is most important thing not the distance between them.

What is ratio data?

A

Whatever variable we are measuring has an absolute 0. Therefore, we can make comparisons such as twice as big or twice as small. Similar to interval data but that the distances between points are equivalent to one another.

A

If something is measured on a scale. Intervals are standardized measurement scales such as time, weight and distance
