⬆Increased WBC count over 11,000 per cubic mm. Leukemia and mononucleosis. Bacterial or viral infection

⬇LOW WBC count. Drugs(glucocorticoids), chemotherapy, arthritis

A
Cancer: WBC. rapidly dividing WBC, unspecialized nonfunctional. ⬇LOW normal bone marrow function. Symptoms: fever, chronic infection, bone or organ pain, weight loss

Mononucleosis
A
“Kissing Disease”. Shared by saliva. Contagious epstein-barr virus. Common in children and young adults. ⬆increased agranulocyte numbers. Symtpoms: fatigue, aches, sore throat, low grade fever
