Bob

V: hurry or rush away, especially in order to escape
Example: the burglars made off before the police arrived

N: an animal that hunts, kills, and eats other animals
Example: lions, wolves, and other predators
Rascal
Adj; one who is playfully mischievous
Example: I caught those little/young rascals dressing up in my cloth
Relentless
Adj: continuing in a sever or extreme way; pitiless
Example:
- relentless criticism/ pressure
-relentless heat

V: frighten or surprise suddenly
Example:
-she was concentrating on her book and his voice startled her
-the noise of the car startled the birds and the whole flock flew up into the air
-her article on diet startled many people into changing their eating habits

Example: the car handles particularly well on rough terrain

Adj: awkward and without grace(=moving smoothly and attractively) in movement
Example: ducks are ungainly on land

Adj: frightening and violent
Example:

-she’s got a ferocious (=very bad) temper

Adj: putting a lot of effort into your work
Example: a conscientious student

N: a group of countries, political parties, or people who have agreed to work together because of shared interests or aims
Example: NATO is sometimes called the Atlantic alliance

V: Flood; to give someone so many work or so many things that they cannot deal with it all
Example: we have been inundated with requests for help

N: continuous flow or changing; unceasing change
Example:
-everywhere we find flux and uncertainty
-In a state of flux : our plans are in a state of flux at the moment
Redundant
Adj: (especially of a word, phrase, etc) unnecessary because it is more than is needed
Example: in the sentence “she is a single, unmarried woman” , the word “unmarried” is redundant

N: a pouring in; the fact of a large number of people or things arriving at the same time
Example: turkey is expecting an influx of several thousand refugees in the next few days
Abound
V: to exist in large numbers
Example: theories abound about how the universe began
Attainment
N: achievement; accomplishment
Example:
-the attainment of a goal
-attainment targets
