Where can you edit text generation?

Directly within the SmartForm Designer’s text tab. Otherwise, you can access the Text Generation Editor outside of a specific form by using Chart Search.

How and when do you create a new text generation template from the SmartForm Designer?

Click the Generate Text Template option under the Actions button. This should be done if you are not
going to share many statements with other templates, as it will create a new statement record for
each element in your form.

What is the purpose of the Pull Elements button in text generation?

Answer 3

The Pull Elements button allows you to pull elements from the SmartForm into your text generation
template (and see which elements are present on the form but not in any statements). This is
especially useful if you have added new SmartData elements to your form‐‐you can easily add those
elements into text generation with the Pull Elements button.
