Lesson 11 - Procedure SmartForms for Documentation Flashcards
What is a formlet?
A formlet is an LQF record that can be shared across multiple SmartForms of the same type. For
example, the Universal Protocol formlet for procedure forms. Formlets are not limited to procedure
forms.
How can you present your users with a dropdown menu/list of records that are already stored in a
Chronicles master file?
You must build a “record select” field component that binds to a SmartData element with data type
of database. The element itself will determine which master file, and specifically which item, the list
values are pulling from.
What is the benefit of linking a procedure record to a procedure SmartForm?
The SmartForm will show up if the procedure order has been placed, or if it hasn’t been placed yet,
documenting on the form will place the order. Either scenario will save users clicks and time.
What is a CER rule? How does it affect charging in association with documentation?
A CER rule is a flexible logic framework that allows customization of work flows. It provides fast
access to powerful logical combinations of data (called properties) that are important to the user. In
this lesson, you used a CER rule to evaluate the value of a specific SmartData element to
conditionally link an orderable procedure to its performable(s), and ultimately a charge.
