Lesson 6 - Create a SmartForm Using Basic Mode Flashcards

1
Q

What are the main differences between Basic and Advanced modes?

A

Basic: fewer classifications available, but easier screen navigation, terminology, and reformatting.
Advanced: all classifications available, access to more properties and functionality such as the text
and scripting tabs. However, more planning is necessary because rearranging components and values is difficult.

Q

On a Pain HPI form, clinicians sometimes mistakenly document pain location as being somewhere specific and “unable to specify” at the same time. How can you prevent this confusing documentation without restricting the list to being single‐select?

A

Use the group column to define which values can be selected together, and which ones are mutually
exclusive. Create a group just for “unable to specify,” and designate all other options into a second
group.
