Changes in skull for bipedalism
Foramen magnum becomes more central
Also prognathism
Spinal and weight carrying changes for bipedalism
S shaped spine, weight moves from inside to outside of knee, centre of gravity becomes lower from belly
Changes in pelvis for bipedalism
Ilia become flared broader and shorter, sacrum long and thin to wide and a seperate coccyx amd then short and wide
Acetabulum get bigger and further apart
Changes in legs for bipedalism
Femur becomes angled and lengthened
Gluteal muscle decreases
Calves are lengthened
Change in arms for bipedalism
Phalanges become shorter and straighter
Arms decrease in length
Changes in feet for bipedalism
Opposable toe gone
Heel bones heavier and larger
Foot is more arched and a double arch
