Preposition rules
- A, da, di, in, su are used alone only when “the” isn’t used
- Da followed by a person-related word means “at the house of” or “at the office of” etc.
- Di followed by a proper name indicates posession
- When di follows parlare it means “about”
- “In” is used before countries and before means of transportation
- “In” is also used with street names instead of the english “on”
- Con and per are not usually combined with “the”
- Fra/tra are not combined with “the”

Di + the can be used to mean “some” and “any”
Ex: Della frutta -> some fruit

- Mean “some”, “any”, and “a few”
- Qualche is singular
- Alcune/i is plural f./m.
Ex: Leggo alcuni libri interessanti -> I am reading some interesting books

Ex: Lui ha solo un po’ di formaggio -> He only has a bit of cheese

Optional in interrogative sentences. Left out in negative sentences

Dovere present tense conjugation (I must, have to)

Potere present tense conjugation (I am able, can)
- Io -> posso

Che/quale
- Means what or which
- Quale is singular and Quali is plural
Quanto
- Means how many/how much
- Can be used as an adjective or adverb
- When used as an adjective it must agree with its noun
