A

In plural, change to -che and -ghe
Ex: amica -> amiche

* Change to -cie and -gie if vowel preceeds ending
* Change to -ce and -ge if consonant preceeds ending

Ex:

  • In plural, -co and -go change to -chi and -ghi
  • When stress falls on second to last syllable, -co changes to -ci\
  • Exceptions include amico, nemico, greco, etc.

Ex:
lungo -> lunghi

medico -> medici

Rules for writing dates

A
  • The first of the month is always “il primo”
  • Can put “di” between day and month, it’s optional

Ex:
Il primo di luglio or il primo luglio
