logical manner, making them easily understood
by the reader. It also refers to putting connected
ideas together to make sense .
COHERENCE
It is achieved when a composition contains
one focused idea
In a unified text, all the supporting ideas are
relevant to the main thought
UNITY
It refers to the connection of ideas at sentence
level which uses transitional devices.
COHESIONc
One of the clearest indicators of a well written text.
It enables writers to effectively communicate ideas
without confusing the reader
Adjusting language based on target audience.
LANGUAGE USE
more factual, based on truth
and can be proven.
This usually use formal words.
OBJECTIVE TONE
focuses on personal biases,
belief, opinion, feelings, thoughts
about the topic you are talking
about
SUBJECTIVE TONE
Focuses on the technicalities of the structure.
It determines errors on subject-verb agreement,
prepositions, tenses, the grammar, spelling,
capitalization, abbreviations and acronyms, the use of
numbers as part of the statement, and the punctuation
marks.
