Q

GRAMMAR POINT

Question words like

どうdonnu(how) どこdoko(where) なんnann(what)

CANNOT be the subject

Remember the S O V concept?

subject always starts first.

Becuase subject is the thing you want to talk about.

‘what’, ‘where’, ‘how’ are only the information of the subject.

A

GRAMMAR POINT

しゅみ なん ですか。

shumi wa nann desuka

hobby what is ?

What is (your) hobby?

If you mix up subject and object,

the sentence would not work out and sounds strange.
