How many types of rulings are there?

Waajib
Dooer is rewarded but the one who leaves it off is punished
Haram
Dooer is punished but one who leaves the action off is rewarded
Mubaah
No effect when one either does it or leaves it off
(permissible)
Makruh
Leaving an action= rewarded
BUT dooer is not punished
Preferred that you do not do it (disliked)
Shariah def. of ‘فِقْهَ:
knowledge of the rulings of the shariah based on Quran, Sunnah, Ijma and Qiyas al sahih
Masnuun
Rewarded for doing the action but not punished if one does not do it
(recommended)
