Beliefs about Jesus Christ lesson one
The birth
Jesus was born of a Virgin
Jesus was conceived by the power of the holy spirt
Jesus is the incarnation (fully god, fully man)
The wise men wee invited to see Jesus by a star
The Sheapards were invited to see Jesus by an angle
Jesus birth is important because
He is fully human so he can be sacrificed
He is fully God so he can defeat death so can defeat death and rise from the dead
He is a perfect example for me to follow because he is God, I cannot be forgiven of saved for heaven without the incarnation

God is omniscient- all knowing
Omnipotent- all powerful
Ominbenevolent -all loving
One God, three persons, the father is the creator, the son is the incarnation and the holy spirt keeps me going and gives me guidance the holy trinity

The bible is the word of God
The bible gives me direction
Has the authority to command and teach me
When the bible is silent, the Church has Gods authority to command and teach me
The pope is Gods representative on earth and the head of the Church
The Bible informs my conscience
Jesus is the active word of God in the Bible
The bible is a source of prayer
The Bible is a source inspiration that I want to follow
Although rotten by men they were inspired by the holy spirt to tell his truth

My conscience is the voice if God speaking in my heat
I inform my conscience by: reading the bible
:praying
:going to mass regularly
:speak to the priest
If the bible is silent I can disobey a Church teaching (pope/bishop) if I have informed my conscience
Sometime why we would not listen to our conscience lesson one
I might not be very good at informing my conscience
I might not read the bible regularly
I might not go to mass regularly
