LYRIC POEM
TYPES of LYRIC POEM;
*Ode - poem of praise
*Sonnet -14 lines
*Elegy - lamentation over loss of a loved one
- a poem that mourns the dead
- often uses “apostrophe” (calling out to the dead person) as a literary technique
*Song - love and beauty of nature
- intends to tell a story
NARRATIVE POEM
- its structure resembles the plot line of a story (Setting, Characters, Plot) Ex: Ballad & Epic

Examples of NARRATIVE POEM: It is a narrative poem that has a musical rhythm and can be sung.
