  • i.e. can affect the vestibulocochlear organ (peripheral) or the vestibular nuclei in the brainstem (central) or higher connections in the brain (central)

A
  • central lesions will show the same signs + other neurological signs e.g. proprioceptive deficits or other central nerve involvement (except VII facial)
