When can you localise the lesion to the spinal cord?

A
  • if there’s paresis/paralysis affecting the limbs, but determining if the forelimbs and hindlimbs are UMN or LMN
  • only works for single focal lesions

What is it if you see an animal with LMN in both fore and hindlimbs

A
  • generalised LMN condition affecting peripheral nerves/muscles, or less likely a multifocal CNS dz
