A

Various reasons:

Course structure + teaching style

-allows for a range of study methods

-full cadaver dissections is something that i am really keen on
-provides an amazing learning experience
-provides detailed understanding of anatomy crucial for clinical practice

-use of ipads, something my secondary school currently does
-find it very convenient, timesaving and effective
-one less thing to adapt to at uni

Research
-Leicester has a strong research reputation
-such as on covid 19 health inequalities (highlights how socio-economic factors and existing health conditions exacerbate the vulnerability of ethnic minority groups to severe illness, higher risks of both acute and long-term complications)
-similar to my NEA

Facilities
-leicester has really good facilities for their medical student
-clinical skills unit
-dissecting room
-societies and med specific societies

Diverse city
-City is diverse which is similar to my own
-university has a focus on empathy and diversity of patients
-also means there are a lot of great food places

Student feedback
-students ive talked to have really enjoyed their time at Leicester and have said that its a very supportive environment which is ultimately the most important thing
