Define remedy
An order made by a court to address a civil wrong or breach
Restores the plaintiff (as much as possible) to the state they were in prior to the breach/wrong
Define damages
An amount of money that a court or tribunal orders one party to pay another
Define tribunal
A dispute resolution body that resolves civil disputes and is a less costly, faster option than taking the matter to court
Outline the process of mediation
Describe two similarities and differences between conciliation and mediation
